Tuesday, July 15, 2014   Just after 20:00hrs. Company 68 was dispatched for a car fire in the area of 12th and Market St. 68-2 made the response staffed with 5 fire personal under command of deputy-68. 68 crew placed from jump line in service and extinguished the fire. Vehicle fire was investigated by M.H. Car 1 and MHPD.

     



 

DEATH NOTICE

Sunday, July 13, 2014  It is with great regret to annouce the death of Honorary Member Edward Arscott Sr. Edward was a 59 year member of the Department, joining Trainer Fire Co. in 1955. Edward held numerous administrative positions and served on numerous committees.

Calling hours from 10am to 11am on Monday July 14th at Moreland-Pagano Funeral Home. 825 Main Street, Trainer.

Service: Monday July 14th at 11am at the funeral home

Burial: Glenwood Memorial Gardens Broomall Pa.

   


 

Ladder Transfer

Monday, June 16, 2014  Just before midnight L-68 was dispatched to cover NCC-13, Claymont was assisting Wilmington Fire Dept. on a working fire with entrapment and building collapse. the Ladder was staffed with a crew of 6 under command of 68-13, and ran 0 calls ladder was released at 2am.

   


 

2 building fires and assist ems

Sunday, June 15, 2014   just after 2am. Aston Township box was struck for a building on Thomas Ave. 68-1 made the response with 6 fire personal under command of 68-9, E-63 went on location with nothing showing 63 crew found a candle burning and 63 command reduce the assignment to 63 units.

few hours later 39 box was struck for a building fire at the Wawa, L-68 made the response with 6 fire personal under command of 68-13, 39 command reduce the assignment to 39 and NCC L-13

12pm. the tones dropped once again this time to assist M100-7 with lifting assistance on 1300Blk of Langley St. Ut-68 made the response.

Friday, June 13, 2014 16:54 Company 68 was dispatched at 16:54 to the unit block of 4th street for a co detector activation. 68-2 made the responce with a crew of 5 under the comand of 68-13. The crew of 68-2 located a natural gas leak inside the dwelling. The crew secured the gas leak and went available at 17:38.

Sunday, January 5, 2014  JUST AFTER 15:00HRS 39 BOX ASSIGNMENT WAS STRUCK FOR A BUILDING FIRE 1100BLK OF STERLING AVE. LOWER CHICHESTER, L-68 MADE THE RESPONSE WITH 5 PERSONAL, 39-9 WAS ON SCENE WITH NOTHING EVIDENT AND REDUCED THE ASSIGNMENT TO E-39 AND NCC.TRK-13. MOMENTS AFTER WE WENT OFF RADIO 68 AND M-100-7'S TONES DROPPED FOR AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES IN THE AREA OF POST AND BLUEBALL AVE. 68-1 MADE THE RESPONSE WITH 4 PERSONAL TO FIND A 2 VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH 2 INJURIES 100-7 REQUESTED ANOTHER BLS TRANSPORT BRINGING IN 40-7, CREW FROM 68-1 SECURED THE HAZARDS AND ASSISTED WITH TRAFFIC CONTROL 68-1 WAS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE HOUR.

Wednesday, January 1, 2014  AROUND 05:30AM L-68 R-39 WAS DISPATCHED TO COVER STATION 81 WHILE THEY OPERATED ON A 2 ALARM FIRE ON THE EAST END OF THE CITY. L-68 MADE THE RESPONSE WITH 4 PERSONAL AND RAN 0 CALLS

   


 

1ST CALL OF THE NEW YEAR

Wednesday, January 1, 2014  JUST BEFORE 1AM STATION 68 GOT ITS FIRST CALL OF THE NEW YEAR DISPATCHED FOR A SMOKE INVESTIGATION IN THE AREA OF CHURCH STREET 68-2 (68-9) MADE THE RESPONSE AND DETERMINED TO BE FIRE WORKS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE IN THE AREA.
