At 9:30 Company 68 for an Engine along with Rescue 39 (Lower Chi) and Tower 61 (Reliance) were dispatched to cover station 81 (Chester City) while they were on a 2nd alarm fire at 7th & Hinkson. 68-1 under the command of 68-9 (J. McClure) made the response. While covering, units were dispatched to 1127 Kerlin St. for a Box Alarm Tac 45 (Parkside) arrived with nothing showing, followed by the Tower 61, 68-1, Rescue 39, Engine 12 (Eddystone), and Tower 14 (Swarthmore). Chester 11B (Capasso) recalled the units.

Later that day company 39 and 68 was dispatched for a building fire investigation at 1427 Bradley Street in Lower Chi. Company 68 was recalled by 39 command while en route.
