The snow is here! As a result, your volunteer firefighters have been putting in long hours at the firehouse to make sure that all residents get a quick but safe response. How can you make our job quicker during your time of need? You can make sure the hydrant that is closest to your residence has been cleared of snow. A problem shared by Fire Departments in the area are hydrants that are buried under piles of snow from plows and shovels. While firefighters in your area have a good knowledge of hydrant locations in their area, snowy conditions could lead to delays in gaining access to these hydrants quickly. Marcus Hook Trainer Fire Department is asking all residents that are physically able to please take some time to shovel out the area around the fire hydrant that is closest to your home or business. This could save those few precious moments that make a difference when you or a loved one is having an emergency. We would like to thank you in advance for making your community safer for everybody.
