The box assignment was dispatched to 908 Church St for the building fire. 68-7 got on scene and had smoke showing. 68-9 (J. McClure) got on scene and confirmed a 3 story twin with smoke showing. 68-9 established Church St command and added RIT 63. Command had Ladder 68 drop a supply line from 10th and Church and lead off with a 1 ¾ handline. Command had all manpower stage in front of Rescue 39, he also asked fireboard for PECO and Marcus Hook Trainer Car 1 (T. Capasso). Interior Command (K. Smith Jr) reported the bulk of the fire was knocked on 1st floor just before the 1st 10 minute mark and asked for a crew to check 2nd and 3rd floor for extensions. Crews from 39 and 40 checked to find negative extensions to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Command held the assignment to 68, 39 and Rescue 40 for overhaul. Great job to the first in crew on getting a quick knock on the fire and to the new 68-9 Jamie McClure on running his first job as Chief. Companies on scene were 68, 39 (Lower Chi), 40 (Boothwyn), 61 (Relience), RIT 63 (Green Ridge) NCC RIT 13 (Claymont), 100-7 (Crozer Paramedics) and MHTFD Car 1 (Capasso).
